PRB Rolling Conveyor Installation
Powered Roller Bed (PRB) conveyors — heavy-duty, skid-based roller systems for automotive body shops, paint lines, and final assembly.
Request a QuoteA PRB — short for Powered Roller Bed — is a heavy-duty powered conveyor used throughout automotive manufacturing to move vehicle bodies and large skid-mounted assemblies. Instead of a traditional belt, the load rides on a flat bed of motor-driven or chain-driven rollers, with the skid underneath gripped and carried forward by the rollers below.
PRB is the workhorse for skid-based body-shop, paint, and assembly flow: straight-run sections, accumulation zones, transfers, and integration with lifts and turntables. Zoned drives let each segment start, stop, and accumulate independently — so a PRB line can buffer work between stations without stalling upstream production.
What we install
- Chain-driven and motor-driven powered roller bed conveyor
- Skid handling for body-in-white, paint, and final assembly
- Zoned accumulation and buffer sections
- Transfers, lifts, and turntable integration
- Interfaces with friction-drive, VDL, and slat lines
Where PRB fits
PRB is the right tool when loads are heavy, skid-mounted, and need to move reliably through harsh plant environments over long distances or many stations. We install it alongside friction drive, EMS, and power & free in automotive OEM plants — the same way it runs at Tata Motors, Toyota, Honda, and every other skid-based assembly operation.
