ASRS Installation — Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems
MIC installs Automated Storage & Retrieval rack systems up to 100+ feet tall for distribution, automotive, and manufacturing facilities.
Request a QuoteAutomated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) are the backbone of modern high-throughput warehouses — but they only work if the rack is plumb, square, and bolted to a floor that will hold it. Multi-State Industrial Contractors has installed ASRS systems for IKEA distribution, including a 100-foot-tall ASRS rack, and we know the difference between a rack that passes crane-lift commissioning and one that costs a week of rework.
Our ASRS install crews handle the full scope: anchor layout and floor verification, rack erection with man-lifts, cross-bracing, aisle alignment, shuttle and mini-load integration prep, and final safety certification handoff. We work under the OEM integrator (Daifuku, Dematic, Swisslog, or the end customer's chosen partner) or as the prime where the end customer prefers a direct relationship.
What we install
- Unit-load ASRS racks up to 100+ feet
- Mini-load and shuttle-based ASRS
- Pallet and carton automated rack
- Rack supporting cranes, shuttles, and conveyor interface points
- Seismic anchoring and bracing per IBC requirements
Why this is hard
ASRS tolerances are brutal. A 1/8" deviation at the base becomes a 2" error 90 feet up, and an aisle that's out of square will stall an automated crane every cycle. We use laser alignment throughout erection and hand off a documented plumb/square report at commissioning.
